Diamond Peak Phase 2 Renovation Approved

Apr 8, 2010

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Barb Archer PR/Special Events Coordinator (775) 832-1120, mediainfo@diamondpeak.com Diamond Peak Phase 2 Renovation Approved Incline Village, NV- On Wednesday March 31, 2010, IVGID’s Board of Trustees approved the second phase in renovations for Diamond Peak. Back in the summer of 2009, members of the community, IVGID Trustee Ted Fuller, IVGID General Manager Bill Horn, Collaborative Design Studios and venue managers met to discuss the blueprints and design of Phase 2 of the Diamond Peak Ski Renovation. Collaborative Design Studios designed the new building, which includes a new Child Ski Center (3-7 years old), ticket windows, Ski & Snowboard School and Administration building. It will be a two-story building in a V-shape with the bottom level having Ski Patrol at one end, staff lockers next to it, Child Ski Center in the middle with new ticket windows facing the plaza, Ski & Snowboard School and new restrooms at the opposite end. The second story would house the Marketing Department, Mountain Operations and Reception offices. The main focus of the new building will be to maximize snow space, improve flow of the Child Ski Center and make it easier for customers to purchase Diamond Peak products. Diamond Peak will begin construction on phase 2 in May 2010. For any questions regarding this release, please call (775) 832-1120. Diamond Peak season passes are on sale at the early bird rate until September 30th! Purchase your season pass now and receive season passholder perks all summer long.
