Eggciting Forecast for Spring Snow!

Wouldn’t it be great to end the season with a bang, or should I say-with a POW?! Pow, as in fresh powder. From the weather forecast it looks quite possible that we will have not just a day or two of snow accumulation, but we’re talking Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday all showing chances of snow. Tomorrow and Tuesday in the Tahoe basin, be prepared for winds that could be as high as 100mph or more and up to a foot of snow in some locations on Tuesday. It would be great for the Jiblet Invitational on the 3rd if our finalists had a few extra inches of cushion under their boards or skis, (and for other areas). It would also be nice for Community Appreciation Day on April 10th, where if you live within a 50 mile radius of Diamond Peak, you can ski or board for only $20. And for you ski bunnies coming up for Easter, it would make everything that much sweeter to have a fresh white blanket to play in. So, pray for the temps to stay “egg-stra” low to produce some snow. I may be putting all of my eggs in one basket when I say it, and I don’t want to candy coat things, but I’m thinking it’s going to be an eggstremely eggcelent last two weeks of Diamond Peak’s ski season. (Sorry, was that pushing the limits of Easter humor?)
For now, don’t forget these important rules of chocolate:
If you get melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.
Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.
A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place. Isn't that handy?
If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer. But if you can't eat all your chocolate, what's wrong with you?
Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger.
Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.
Diet tips: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite and you'll eat less. If calories are an issue, store your chocolate on top of the fridge. Calories are afraid of heights, and they will jump out of the chocolate to protect themselves. Don’t forget, chocolate is a health food. Chocolate is derived from cacao beans. Bean = vegetable. Sugar is derived either from sugar beets or cane, both vegetables. And, of course, the milk/cream is dairy. So eat more chocolate to meet the dietary requirements for daily vegetable and dairy intake.
Have very hoppy Easter! (Couldn’t resist.)
Update: Blizzard Watch for Tuesday! Please drive carefully if coming up to Tahoe.
