Change of the season and changes at Diamond Peak!by dawn With the Autumn brings changes at Diamond Peak! The biggie is the addition of our new Holiday Season Pass. For just $249 you can ski every Holiday day. When other resorts want to charge you more to ski over their holiday periods, our daily ticket prices remain the same every day and in addition, we encourage you to come over the holidays by offering this Holiday Pass that is good for 28 days of skiing! An amazing deal, you do the math. There are some other exciting changes happening this season, but it's not time to let that cat all the way out of the bag yet. You can count on last season's lift ticket and ski pass prices to remain. Good news! Some more good news is a return of El Nino, from what I hear. A direct quote from NOAA, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration website states: "NOAA expects this El Niño to continue developing during the next several months, with further strengthening possible. The event is expected to last through winter 2009-10." (Blah blah blah yada yada yada.... ) "El Niño’s negative impacts have included damaging winter storms in California and increased storminess across the southern United States." (Negative for some, not so negative for others...) I can't keep from thinking of that great Chris Farley SNL skit. If you haven't seen it, youtube it for a good giggle..RIP Chris. So there you have it. That's all I know for now. So go forth and enjoy this blasted Indian summer while you can. Weather forecasts are predicting high daytime temps in the low 50's very soon. Winter will be here before you know it. Until then, bow before El Nino and enjoy your Fall! |
